Availing a home loan has become quite simple these days. To that effect, the documentation for home loans is now kept to a minimum for the ease of the customers.
While there are certain requirements that are the same for every loan applicant, some of the documents required for home loans in India may vary with the individual who is applying for the loan.

 
  • Common documents for home loans:

    • A duly filled and signed application form, along with the required number of photographs
    • Proof of identity, age and residence (Indicative list mentioned below)
      Proof of identity and age (any one of below)
      Proof of residence (any one of below)
      Passport Leave and License Agreement
      Voter’s ID Utility Bill (not older than 3 months)
      Driving License Passport
      Aadhaar Card -

    • Cheque for the processing fee
    • Income tax returns or Form 16
  • Specific documents asked from salaried individuals for home loans in India:

    • Bank statement for the last 6 months, of the account where salary is credited
    • Salary slips for the last 3 months
    • Income tax returns or Form 16
  • Documents required asked from self-employed individuals for home loans in India:

    • Legal existence proof of business
    • Business profile
    • Income Tax Returns with the computation of Income for the last 3 years
    • Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account, audited or certified by a CA, for the last 3 years
    • Bank statements for the last 6 months, of main business account(s)
